  • 1958  Pat and Rosemary Hackett begin selling Red Wing boots through the acquisition of Graebel’s shoe store on North Green Bay Avenue

  • 1968  Store is re-located to 76th Street and Capitol Drive

  • 1969  Hackett family opens one of the first six independently owned full-service Red Wing stores in the nation

  • 1986  Store re-locates to Capitol Drive, just West of Interstate 45

  • 1988  The Hackett family opens a second store in Greenfield at its current location

  • 2011  As a result of a recession in sales, operations are consolidated into the Greenfield store and the Brookfield store is closed

  • 2011  Rosemary Hackett’s son-in-law, Matt Knain, takes over general management of the Greenfield store, dramatically expanding shoe inventory and installing new inventory management computer systems

  • Spring 2012  Installation of computerized foot-bed scanning and the offering of custom orthotics

  • Summer 2012  Massive store re-modeling with new upholstered leather furniture and interior decor

  • Fall 2012  Rosemary Hackett’s son, Mike Hackett, takes over day-to-day Store Manager responsibilities and oversight of Industrial Accounts

  • Fall 2013  Irish Setter Hunting boots added to offer a wider range of footwear
